Board of Regents Action: Matching of Endowed Professorships and First-Generation Scholarships Established with Incremental Contributions

At its meeting of June 16, the Board of Regents approved a change in the eligibility of donors’ endowed funds to permit submission of Endowed Professorships and Endowed First-Generation Scholarships for which donors entered into agreements with the campus and/or its foundation to provide incremental donations, defined as monetary contributions made to the campus which the donor intended over time to accrue to meet the minimum required to submit for Board of Regents Support Fund match. Based on this approval, any Endowed Professorship or First-Generation Scholarship for which the donor entered into an agreement and began contributions prior to November 2, 2016 will be eligible upon receipt of the full donor contribution for the 60% non-state donor/40% BoRSF match rate.
