In 2010, Louisiana EPSCoR was successful in securing a $2.1 million Research Infrastructure Improvement (RII) Track 2 project that, in conjunction with researchers in Alabama and Mississippi, establishes the Northern Gulf Coast Hazards Collaboratory to address engineering design, coastal system response, and risk management of coastal hazards.
