A principal investigator at Southeastern Louisiana University conducting research on algebraic structures has used a Research Competitiveness Subprogram to complete and publish elements of his research project. This project is one of a group of strong algebra research projects on the campus, and the quality and quantity of such research led to Southeastern’s selection as host of the 22nd International Conference on Nearrings, Nearfields, and Related Topics, held in July 2011.
