Dr. Glenn Sinclair of LSU-Baton Rouge plans to address the issue of cooling high-powered, next-generation computers through his top-ranked Industrial Ties Research Subprogram grant. The project, “Development of Machines and Protocols for the Manufacturing of Novel Microchannel Heat Exchangers for Electronic Cooling of Next-Generation Computers,” focuses on development of necessary elements to build heat exchangers to cool microelectronic modules for new, higher-power desktop computers.
