Among the top-ranked proposals in the Industrial Ties Research Subprogram is a project from Dr. Weilie Zhou of UNO titled “Fabrication of Supercapacitors Through Three Dimensional Nanoarchitectures.” The project, a collaboration between UNO’s Advanced Materials Research Institute (AMRI) and Cleco Power, LLC, seeks to develop supercapacitors based on nanostructured nanomaterials for complementary energy storage applications, like batteries and fuel cells.
