The top-ranked proposal in the Undergraduate Enhancement Program, housed at Northwestern State University and led by Dr. Phil Brown, is entitled “Through an Enhanced Program Candidates are to Earn Additional Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Certification for Teaching Project Lead the Way Middle and High School Courses.” This project is based in and builds upon an effective STEM program for pre-service teachers, undergraduate students, and graduate students, Project Lead the Way. It will help contribute highly qualified, trained and motivated K-12 science and mathematics teachers, in great demand across Louisiana.
