The LINK program facilitates science and engineering research, education, and training opportunities for faculty, post-doctoral researchers, undergraduate and graduate students.
Its objective is to help develop a diverse, internationally competitive and engaged workforce of scientists and engineers by establishing partnerships and alliances between Louisiana researchers and collaborators at national laboratories, research centers, or industrial facilities. Through LINK, Louisiana EPSCoR provides funding for tenured and tenure-track S&E faculty members, post-docs, undergraduate and graduate students to visit and train at an industrial facility, research center, or national laboratory for a period of two to four weeks.
Post-docs and graduate students may travel independently but must be sponsored by a tenured or tenure-track faculty member who serves as the PI. Undergraduate students are eligible to participate provided that they are accompanied by a tenured or tenure-track faculty member. There is a limit of two individuals per application.
Louisiana EPSCoR will provide $500 per week, not to exceed a total of $2,000, for applicants’ subsistence (lodging, meals, etc.) while visiting and training at the facility, as well as a maximum of $1,000 in transportation cost reimbursements for each participant.
Submission deadline: Open deadline until September 1, 2017
Applicants must submit proposals through LOGAN to LA EPSCoR at the Board of Regents at least 30 days prior to the requested start date of travel.
