Dr. Ying Wang of LSU-Baton Rouge, through a top-ranked Research Competitiveness Subprogram grant, will conduct research into solar cell design and fabrication for high energy conversion efficiency. The long-term goal of the project is to obtain the fundamental understanding necessary to design, fabricate and ultimately validate prototype photonic-crystal-based dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs).
