In April 2012 the Board provided matching funds to establish the William A. Prior Chair in Chemistry at LSU and A&M College. The central focus of the chair will be in the area of biological chemistry, with an emphasis on further strengthening interdisciplinary research efforts between biology and chemistry. The scholar recruited to this chair will add strength to an already impressive department at LSU.
