College and university campuses host LaSIP summer workshops facilitated by faculty from colleges of arts and sciences and colleges of education across the State. When K-12 teachers choose to attend a LaSIP workshop, they travel to the campus expecting to receive: up-to-date academic instruction in the core topic of the project, graduate or undergraduate credit or continuing education units, pedagogical ideas and materials to support them once they return to their classrooms in the fall, academic-year follow-up that includes mentoring and coaching, and online and telephone support from project personnel.
