The annual deadline for submitting Endowed Professorships applications to the Board of Regents Support Fund is March 31. Unfortunately the COVID-19 crisis has disrupted many campuses’ efforts to secure final documents for submission. In light of the tight timeline to secure Board approval and distribute matching funds before the end of the fiscal year, following are updated procedures and deadlines for submission:
- March 31: Online submission of rank-order lists via LOGAN. Only those Professorships/Scholarships on the rank-order list can be funded in the FY 2019-20 cycle. Submission via LOGAN is required per policy and will be through the institutional account (https://rsi.laregents.edu/logan/). If a campus needs assistance accessing the LOGAN account, contact support@laregents.org.
- May 1: Submission of missing supporting documentation – except System Board approval (see below) – for all new Professorships/Scholarships on the rank-order list. Note that resubmitted match requests from prior years must be included in the rank order submitted in March, but other application documents are already on file with BoR and do not need to be provided again. If individual circumstances do not permit documents to be submitted by this date, the campus should notify Program Manager Carrie Robison (carrie.robison@laregents.edu) immediately with the estimated date of submission. Funding cannot be released until application packets are complete.
- June 15: Submission of any missing System Board approvals or timeline for securing System Board approvals. Many boards will not meet on their regular schedules this spring, so staff will provide additional time for any campus that cannot finalize approvals by this date.
