The Board of Regents Graduate Fellowships for Teachers subprogram (GFT) has supported on an annual basis K-12 teachers seeking to improve their content knowledge and educational skills by earning a master’s degree in a mathematics or sciences area. As a condition of the fellowship, teachers are required to return to Louisiana classrooms for at least one year following completion of the program, to ensure that the State’s students reap the benefits of this additional training and knowledge.
