During 2011, LaSIP is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Beginning in 1991 with funding from the National Science Foundation and matching funds from the Board of Regents and Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, and through other competitive funding sources since then, LaSIP is still striving to provide exceptional content-driven, standards-based and learner-centered professional development in core-subject areas for Louisiana teachers.
