During the April 25, 2011 LaSIP Council meeting, eleven university-based professional development projects for school teachers were approved and will be funded in fiscal year 2011-12. The four mathematics projects that were approved will be held at LSU, UL Lafayette, Nicholls State University, and the University of New Orleans. Four science/LIGO science projects, one each at Southeastern Louisiana University, Nicholls State University, Southern University-Baton Rouge and Louisiana Tech University, were approved.
