Additional Guidance: BoRSF No-Cost Extension Requests

April 14, 2021 • BoRSF, Featured, front_page

This year BoRSF staff have received requests for additional extension of already-extended projects in several grant programs (GF, BoR/SREB, ATLAS, PoC/P) which limit one-year, no-cost extensions to one year. While we note that extension limits are included by reference in program contracts, due to global disruptions related to COVID-19 staff will permit a second one-year, no-cost extension of contracts in these programs under the following extremely limited circumstances:

  1. The inability to complete the project during the first extension period was caused by a postponement or rescheduling outside of the contractor’s control (e.g., a planned third-party event was cancelled and set for post-pandemic).
  2. The event or other activity postponed/rescheduled was included specifically in the contract’s original work plan and is necessary for the project’s success.
  3. Project work can be completed and all funds expended within the additional extension period. Requests for further extensions will not be considered.

To be considered, requests must specifically confirm that these conditions are met. Please submit requests as soon as possible, and on or before to the May 1 deadline for extension requests. Requests should be submitted to support@laregents.edu.
